Since I was a wee lad I was fascinated with all forms of computer-generated imagery (CGI). I was simultaneously frustrated by the poor design of computers and the software running on them. This has led me to pursue digital art and programming as tools for Human-Computer Interaction design and development. Anything digital and interactive/engaging is my cup of tea, although I am also severely interested in General Human-Interactive Systems design. I also do network administration work for some loot.
I love doing everything in a project but especially molding the grand plan and configuring the technical aspects to make it happen. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a career that could utilize all (or even most) of my skills at once and steal my interest enough. I’m definitely open to suggestions
By the by, I did not pursue any of this formally (yet). I actually have a bachelors degree in philosophy. Everything you see on this site, including the site itself, I taught myself to do.
So I’m usually at a computer hacking away at Flash or some other web tech, or manipulating pixels in Photoshop, Illustrator, &c, or tweaking vertices in modo.
On other days I’ll be riding down mountains on bikes and snowboards, climbing rocks and cliffs, and of course relaxing on hikes through the forests of the Northwest. I’m always on the lookout for a fine microbrew as well.
You can find me around various internet communities relevant to my interests as “vonWolfehaus”. Please ask if I’m a member of a community that you do not see listed below, rather than just assume it’s me–I’d appreciate it.
